Samuel Tetteh hopeful of keeping his Black Stars spot despite moving abroad

Ghana midfielder Samuel Tetteh does not think his move abroad will affect his place in the Black Stars team.

Tetteh completed a four-year move to Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg from Wafa early this month.

The 19-year-old who scored five goals for WAFA before his move outside has been told to start from the club's feeder side Liefering for more first team experience.

This for many could make Avram Grant overlook Tetteh in subsequent call ups, but the former Black Satellites player thinks otherwise

"No it won't affect my chances, If I'm playing well here, even if it’s the junior side, it doesn't matter,” he said

"The coach [Avram Grant] knows what I can do. I know he sees something in me and that’s why he gave me the chance in the team.

"But I leave everything to him. It's his decision to select me or not.

"But it depends on my performance. It's step by step. I just need to work hard and make it to the first team."
