Sandra Owusu Ansah: We are preparing well for the World Cup

Black Princesses striker Sandra Owusu Ansah is happy with the level of preparations so far and insist they will be ready before the start of the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in France.

Owusu Ansah and her colleagues are back at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram preparing after the initial break due to the recent football happenings in Ghana.

Coach Yusif Basigi  and his team have had to step up their training following the limited time.

Sandra who will be playing her second World Cup after playing at the last edition in Jordan says they are on the right track to make Ghana proud.

"We are preparing well for the competition and we hope to make ourselves and Ghana proud," she said

"Everything is going on well with us in camp and hopefully by the team we get to France we will be ready for the competition.

"Our target is to get out of the group stages and then we will look at winning it."

The Black Princesses are expected to travel to Spain for a training tour before leaving for France for the tournament which kicks off on August 5.

Ghana will play hosts France in the opening game before taking on New Zealand and the Netherlands in Group A.
