Leicester's £5.25million bid for Cracovia winger Bartosz Kapustka could pave the way for Jeffrey Schlupp to join West Brom. The Baggies are interested in Schlupp and had hoped an offer of £9million would be enough to land the left-sided player, who can operate in defence or midfield.

However, Albion boss Tony Pulis has been told Schlupp will cost at least £10million but there could now be room for negotiation over a deal after it emerged late on Tuesday that the champions had made an offer for 19-year-old left-winger Kapustka.

The Poland international is thought to be close to agreeing on a move to the King Power Stadium and, when he arrives, boss Claudio Ranieri could sanction Schlupp's exit.

The Ghana international lost his place at left-back last season to Christian Fuchs, but he did play later in the campaign on the left-wing.

The 23-year-old still has three years left on his Foxes deal with Albion waiting in the background in the hope they will eventually land him.
