Scouts show interest in Ghanaian players at WAFU tournament- GFA Spokesperson

Spokesperson of the Ghana football Association, Ibrahim Saanie Daara has revealed there has been soaring interest in some Ghanaian players at the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) championship.

The Black Stars B made up of home based players have been exceptional at the WAFU tournament, after winning three games and losing just one, to fierce rivals Nigeria.

Many of the players have produced some stellar performances, with the likes of Winful Cobinna, Vincent Atinga, Amos Frimpong, Thomas Abbey, Gideon Waja and Patrick Razak being the names getting the most mentions.

Spokesperson of the Football Association, Saanie Daara was hugely impressed with the progress of the competition and the effect it has had on some of the players.

“There have been so many inquiries on the Ghanaian players, the likes of Vincent Atinga have all attracted interest,” Spokesperson of the GFA Ibrahim Sannie Darra said.

“Scout have been asking of him, same as players like Winful Cobbinah and Patrick Razak.

“So this competition is a huge platform for these players.”

The Black Stars B topped group A after beating Guinea and Mali and will await the second placed team from group B.
