Former Black Starlets Coach, Sellas Tettah insists Ghana will beat India to progress to the round of 16 at the FIFA under-17 world Cup.

The Black Starlets lost their second game to the young Yankees of America, making it a must win in the final group game for Ghana, if they are to guarantee automatic qualification.

India on the other hand have lost their two opening games but stand a chance to qualify if they place third as one of the best in that position.

Ahead of the game on Thursday, Sellas Tetteh who was the led the team to the World Cup in 2007, ten years ago was absolutely sure of victory for Ghana.

“We have done two matches now, unfortunately, we lost the second one but all hope is not lost. What is important is that we won our first game which is a positive sign,” Sellas said on Kwese TV.

“Against India, I believe without a doubt that that the team will win, yes it is football and you can’t underrate anyone but I am sure we will pick maximum points and move on in the competition.”

Ghana are two times Champions of the FIFA under-17 world, winning the last one in 1995. A win against the host will ensure automatic qualification.
