Serie A DE VRIJ: "ME AND INTER BOTH HAVE BIG AMBITIONS"
It was the second day of presentations at the Suning Training Centre. Today, it was the turn of Stefan de Vrij who responded live on Facebook to questions from fans before heading through to the press room.
"The aim is to play and win as many matches as possible with this shirt and for this team. We are Inter, we have big goals and we want to prove ourselves."
"I picked Inter because of the faith the club put in me, nobody wanted me as much as they did. I believe in the project and we have the same objectives in the team, I’m convinced that I’ve made the right choice."
"I don’t have a preference in terms of the formation, I’ve played in both a three and four-man defence. I don’t have any issues and the boss will decide. I look to set an example in how I work, I’m positive and I smile in the dressing room and I look to help my teammates when I can."
"Pre-season is a great experience, it’s important to get to know your teammates and do well as a team. The Coach and club both really wanted me and I’m happy."
"Would I replay that last game? The past doesn’t change, I look in the mirror and I’m at ease, I know that I gave everything I could in those years, right until the end."
