Serie A Legend Cafu Names the 3 Toughest Opponents He Ever Played Against

Serie A legend and World Cup winning captain Cafu has given Arsenal hero Thierry Henry the ultimate praise after naming the Frenchman alongside two of the greatest players of all time when coming up with a list of his toughest opponents.

Cafu, now 46 years of age, was taking part in a Twitter Q&A for the Arsenal Legends game between the Gunners and AC Milan the following day.

Asked by one fan to name the best player he'd ever faced, the retired full-back immediately said Diego Maradona. That was followed by Zinedine Zidane, who scored twice against Cafu's Brazil in the 1998 World Cup final, and then a politenod towards Henry as well.

I've played against so many amazing players! I've played against MARADONA! Also Zinedine and of course Henry!!! https://t.co/PsydotZesb

Henry was actually an unused substitute in the 1998World Cup final. Hedidcome against Cafu on other occasions, although never when he was at his peak with Arsenal.

Henry is not Cafu's favourite Gunners player, though. That honour goes to fellow Brazilian and 2002 World Cup winner Gilberto Silva.

When I played, Henry and Pires. But of course it would have to be Gilberto Silva! No doubt about it!!! #AskCafu https://t.co/vCaZkDWV10
