Sevilla are expecting Jorge Sampaoli to stay despite rumours he is the favourite for the almost-vacant manager position at Barcelona, according to club president Jose Castro.
"I have confidence that Sampaoli will say yes to the offer we have made him to extend his contract for one more year, but we're focused on a complicated week," he told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser before the club’s Champions League exit to Leicester.
"We don't have to think about Barca or anyone else. He's grateful to Sevilla because it was the club that had faith to bring him across [from South America]."
