Interim coach of Asante Kotoko Frimpong Manso has revealed the club will sign new players to augment the squad ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine warriors stretched their winless streak to six consecutive league matches following their a 1-1 draw with Aduana Stars on Wednesday leaving the club in a worry state.

Since their 1-0 loss to Hearts of Oak, the Porcupine Warriors have found it difficult to return to winning ways scoring just three goals in their last six league games.

Caretaker Coach Frimpong Manso who supervised his first game after being appointed to see Kotoko through the first round insists the team needs new blood.

‘’We played well but unfortunately we couldn’t win. I think our major problem is our attack. So, I will beef up the attacking department with one or two strikers, at least someone who can score two out of three chances he would be presented with,’’ he told Herosportsgh.com

‘’Apart from our strikers, we’ll sign another attacking midfielder too and I think with that we should be doing better. ‘’For now, we have to be careful because the condition of some of the players is not good and therefore we need not to rush in doing things. I believe with time the team will bounce back to winning ways,’’ he added.

Reports reveal that Kotoko are in talks with former Berekum Chelsea forward Sadick Admas as well as Wa All Stars striker Richard Arhtur.

Kotoko occupy the fifth position with 20 points after match day 13.
