Ghanaian international Emmanuel Frimpong is set to take the MLS by storm after he was allowed to join Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City on trial. The former Arsenal midfielder is currently training with the Wizards after landing the USA on Tuesday.

Frimpong will be hoping to seal a move to join Sporting Kansas City and play in midfield alongside fellow Ghanaian Emmanuel Appiah who also signed for the MLS side on July 12, 2016.

Sporting Kansas City manager Peter Vermes who confirmed Frimpong is in camp, was asked if it was just training with the team on trial, Vermes replied,” Everything is always a trial. Everything is always a trial, always.” "We are trying to look at where he is now. I don't care what the past was; it's where he is now. We're taking a look at him, just taking a look at him," Vermes said.

Emmanuel Frimpong who began his career at Arsenal, playing sparingly and spending time on loan at Wanderers, Charlton and Fulham, was recently released by Russian side Ufa after making 25 appearances and will be hoping to land a new deal to get his career moving.
