Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah says they are putting measures in place to ensure all the national teams in the near future camp at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Hon Asiamah revealed this to the media when he toured the facility on Thursday ahead of the start of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations, which begins next month.

“Some of our national teams will be brought here for their camping, which will help a lot. The Cape Coast Stadium has a lot of facilities, and when they are brought here, they will get the needed training facilities. There is a pitch and other facilities such as accommodation and many others they can use when they camp here.

“The only problem here is a catering service, and we are working towards getting one for the site. Very soon you will be seeing the national teams camping here at Cape Coast”, he added.

Ghana will be hosting the 2017 WAFU Cup and next year’s Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, and these facilities have to be kept in shape prior to these tournaments.
