Berekum Chelsea technical director Steve Pollack has denied reports suggesting he is close to joining Asante Kotoko.

Media reports suggested the former King Faisal trainer has received an offer from Kotoko to become their next coach.

But in an interview with Space FM he noted that he has not been contacted by any official of Kotoko.

‘’So many presenters have called me asking me the same question. I think you know more than what I know but what I will say is, it’s a rumour,’’ he said

‘’Off course there is no smoke without fire but like I have said it’s a rumour. You know it’s an honour to be linked but I have not spoken with anybody from Kotoko.

‘’No club has called me. At the moment I’m with Chelsea and that’s where my priority is for now. In football, you don’t know what’s going to happen

‘’If I’m approach ? Now I’m with Chelsea and cannot predict the future but like I said at the moment my priority is Chelsea. The Englishman also mentioned that he is excited about the competitive nature of the 2016-17 Ghana Premier League. ‘’The matches have been very competitive and I think we have seen great games in the season,’’

Kotoko are yet to appoint a substantive coach since the departure of Croatian tactician Zdravko Lugarusic.

Club legend Frimpong Manso has been appointed as an interim manager till the first round the Ghana Premier League comes to an end.
