Steve Pollack explains reason for Eric Bekoe's failed return Kotoko

Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steve Pollack has opened the lid of the reason for club-hero Eric Bekoe's failed move to the Porcupine Warriors.

Former Ghana Premier League goalking, Eric Bekoe, had been on trials with the club for some weeks now with the expectations of a return to the club.

However, a reunion with his former club broke down after a misunderstanding between himself and the club.

But, English trainer of the Club, Steve Pollack insists the strikers attitude was the reason for the collapse of the move.

“I personally asked Eric Bekoe to come over, I told him I wanted to observe his fitness but he only came for two training sessions which wasn’t enough to take a decision on him," Steve Pollack told Nhyira FM in Kumasi.

“He should have acted professionally because if anything he could have consulted me but took to the media and that’s it, giving him another chance, I don’t think so."

Bekoe, was a fan favourite in 2008 and he helped the club to win the Ghana Premier as well as winning the golden boot.

He went on to play for the likes of Petrojet in Egypt before returning to Ghana to play for Hasaacas. The 30 year old has also played for Olympics and Hearts of Lions in the past.
