Stop the frequent managerial changes - Kwesi Appiah urges Kotoko, Hearts

Head coach of the Black Stars, Kwasi Appiah has called on the two most glamorous club in the country [Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko], to maintain some level of consistency in their technical direction.

Both clubs have been consistently news for the constant sack of their head coaches.

For the past 15 years, Asante Kotoko has changed a number of 22 coaches whiles their sworn rivals, Hearts of Oak have done same in the past 12 years.

“I am not saying that when they stick to one coach they will win but the bottom line is they’ve kept changing for all these years and it has yielded no results so why do you stick to something that doesn’t bring any result?.

“When you change a coach, you need to have time for the coach to prepare the team but let’s be frank do Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have time for that? It’s a big no,” he told Starr Sports.

The former Al Khartoum manager opines it’s about time Hearts and Kotoko learn to build their teams with a single coach.

“When it comes to Kotoko and Hearts Of oak, the [penchant for] changing coaches has been with them for years.

“It is important they take a look at this behaviour and rather stick to one coach and give him a long time frame like 2 or 3 years and see what he can do instead of the rampant changes,” he noted.
