Daniel Sturridge believes he is finally ready to put his injury woes behind him and start making a regular impact for Liverpool.
The striker joined the Reds in January 2013 and enjoyed a blistering first 18 months at Anfield, almost helping them claim the Premier League title during the 2013-14 campaign.
However, injuries have plagued his career in recent years, limiting him to just five Premier League starts last term, before being shipped out on loan to West Brom, where a hamstring issue saw him spend most of his spell on the sidelines.
Recent rumours have linked him with both Besiktas and Sevilla but the 28-year-old seems determined to stay on Merseyside and has featured in all three of Liverpool's pre-season friendlies.
I'm excited about the season ahead and it feels great to be back.

A fit and firing Sturridge could play a huge role for Jurgen Klopp, with both a Premier League title push and another run in the Champions League on the agenda during the 2018-19 campaign.
The Reds are 5/1 to win the league for the first time in almost three decades, while they can be backed at 14/1 for a sixth European Cup.
Sturridge is certainly keen to play his part after so far coming through pre-season unscathed.
Ahead of the club's US Tour, the England striker says he is raring to go as the new campaign nears.
"I see myself staying at Liverpool, hopefully being part of the team week in, week out," Sturridge told the Daily Mirror.
"Pre-season is going well, so for me it's keeping my head down and building on that. I'm excited about the season ahead and it feels great to be back."
