Teodorczyk arrival boosts Udine

Udinese believe that they have strengthened their squad significantly with the signing of Poland international forward Lukasz Teodorczyk from Anderlecht.

The 27-year-old striker scored 45 goals in 93 appearances in all competitions during his time in Belgium, having previously enjoyed spells with Dynamo Kyiv, Lech Poznan and Polonia Warsaw.

And Udine director Daniele Prade is happy with the business done by his club in snapping up Teodorczyk, who has scored four times in 19 outings for his country.

He told RMC Sport: "Lukasz is a centre-forward with a great deal of experience. He can hold up the ball for his team-mates, run the frontline himself and attack the space too.

"He is strong physically and mobile along the attack. He's got a sense for goal and makes his presence felt in the penalty area."

The Bianconeri Friuliani finished in 14th place in Serie A last season, with Kevin Lasagna their leading scorer in the Italian top-flight with 12.

Lasagna is 2/1 to score for Udinese in their Serie A opener at Parma on Sunday, with the visitors 19/10 to win the game and 6/1 to do so by a 1-0 scoreline.

Meanwhile, Napoli strengthened their squad with the loan signing of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, while former Gunners forward Gervinho has been recruited from Hebei China Fortune by newly-promoted Parma.

Cagliari beat the transfer deadline to snap up Liverpool's Estonia international defender Ragnar Klavan on a two-year deal.
