The highest amount I was tempted with for bribe was $5000 – Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin

Head Coach of the national under-17 team Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has revealed he was tempted with a bribe of $5000 from managers and agent of players but turned them down.

According to the Black Starlets Coach he has been tempted on many occasions but stood firm and rejected such offers.

Many players who make it to the national youth teams have agents who stay around to ensure their players get lucrative deals hence try to bribe their way through by offering coaches bribes.

Meanwhile, Coach Fabin said on local radio station, Happy FM, he was tempted with as much as $5000, which he rejected.

“I have been constantly approached by player managers, agents and club officials to get their players into the national team. In fact the highest amount I have been tempted with as bribe is $5,000. I always say that I will not take bribes to discharge my duty so despite the several attempts to bribe me, I never fell foul.” Paa Kwesi Fabin told Happy FM.
