Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is set to be handed a new improved deal at Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Partey is vulnerable to low buyout clause - relative to the current transfer market.
Reports in the Spanish media state that Partey will be offered a new deal before Christmas.
The Ghanaian international who has been on fine form for the club carries a buyout clause of €36m.
Atletico's plans are to upgrade his clause to protect them from losing him to rival clubs.
