A member of the leading supporters’ group of Dormaa-based Aduana Stars, name given only as Frank, popularly known as “Otto” has died after collapsing at the stadium during the final league game yesterday.

The fan was said to be a member of the clubs’ drummer group broke down with minutes to the end of the game against Inter Allies at the Dormaa Park, and was rushed to the stadium where he was pronounced dead.

According to an eye witness, the deceased was in a group of drummer in the stands when he suddenly collapsed.

Witnesses tried to resuscitate him but their efforts proved futile so he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced clinically dead minutes later.

“He had been drumming during the game with others but fell on his side and was sprayed with water in a bid to wake up but he failed so they rushed him to the hospital where he died”,

“According to some of his colleagues, he was one of the fans who suffered severe beatings during the midweek game at Wa so he had been indoors throughout after the game so they weren’t even expecting him to be at the stadium as he had not fully recovered so they (colleague fans) suspect his death had something to do with the assault in Wa”,
