U-17 WAFU Zone B Qualifiers: Coach Karim Zito confident Ghana will beat Nigeria

Black Starlets head coach Abdul Karim Zito is confident his outfit will eliminate Nigeria in the semifinals of the ongoing U-17 WAFU Zone B qualifiers on Wednesday.

Ghana beat Togo 2-1 on Saturday to top Group A with four points and will have to defeat their West African counterparts Nigeria who finished second in Group B in a make or break tie.

"It is not going to be easy for us but I believe we will defeat them on Wednesday," Zito said.

"We had a slow start to the qualifiers that's why we shared the spoils with Niger but our game against Togo proved that we're improving.

"Nigeria have a potent attack looking at their last game so we will work on our defence to prevent them from scoring. We are not afraid of them in anyway," he added.

The winner between Ghana and Nigeria will face the winner between Burkina Faso and Niger in the final on Sunday.

The champion after the competition will represent Wafu Zone B in the 2019 Afcon to be hosted by Tanzania.
