The Black Starlets of Ghana returned home to a hero’s welcome after a successful battle at the U17 African Youth Championship held in Gabon where the team won the Silver trophy for placing second in the tournament.
Coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin and his charges failed to clinch the ultimate which Ghana had failed to win for the past 18 years after suffering their maiden defeat in the final to the Malians, the defending Champions.
An overly charged home fans graced the Kotoka International Airport in their numbers to welcome the young men.
