Wa All Stars sends Kotoko solidarity message

Premier League Champions Wa All Stars have extended their message of solidarity to Kumasi Asante Kotoko following the accident involving the club that occurred in Nkawkaw.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko were involved in a fatal accident that claimed the life of their equipment officer, Mr. Obeng Asare with other players injured.

The porcupine warriors were returning from Accra after their match day 22 defeat to Inter Allies when the incident occurred. The injured players have since been discharged except Ollenu Ashitey who will undergo surgery at the Komfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi.

General Manager of Wa All Stars Mr. Seth Pawum released a statement on behalf of the club to express their solidarity.

''We are deeply saddened by the news of a road accident in Nkawkaw involving your Club that has claimed the life of a member of your technical team,'' a statement signed by General Manager Seth Panwum read.

''Wa All Stars Football Club joins the rest of the football community in mourning the tragic and untimely loss of your Equipment officer.

''The thoughts of everyone at Wa All Stars Football Club are with Asante Kotoko Sporting Club and all those affected by the tragedy in Nkawkaw.''
