Head Coach of West Africa Football Academy Klavs Rasmussen has praised his player’s performance despite their 1-0 loss to Aduana in the match day 27 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Academy boys loss to the Dormaa-based club through a Dennis Sassraku second half strike.

WAFA are enjoying their best season in the Ghana Premier League and are second with a slim chance of winning the title. The defeat in Dormaa left them four points behind leaders Aduana with three games to end the season.

The Sogakope-based club lost many of their key players during the summer transfer window to European and African clubs and was without some senior players on Wednesday as they suffered defeat to Aduana.

“I am very happy with the boys, some of them were incredible today. We couldn’t score but I’m happy with the performance,'' he said in a post-match interview.

''We are building a new team, some of them are very young and this team is upcoming champions. Our main point was to get the points but you see how many players we have lost.

''Six of my boys were even injured so I am not disappointed at all.''

WAFA will return to Sogakope, at the Red Bull Arena where they host Champion Wa All Stars in the match day 28 of the Ghana Premier League.
