Warri Wolves are lying behind Enyimba on the league log

Warri Wolves coach Paul Aigbogun has insisted the Nigeria league title race is still open after they were held to a draw by hosts Rangers and leaders Enyimba won at home.

Enyimba opened a five-point gap at the top of the table when they beat Shooting Stars 2-1 and Wolves were held to a 1-1 draw at Rangers in Week 33 games of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.

"The title race is still wide open," said coach Aigbogun.

Next weekend, Wolves will be home, while Enyimba will be on the road.

In Enugu, Warri Wolves took the lead after 13 minutes through Gbolahan Salami who slotted home a pass by Kufre Ebong after he was released by Ikechukwu Ibenegbu.

Osas Okoro drew Ranger level in the 51st minute when he stabbed home from deep inside the box.

This was just a minute after striker Emmanuel Eze had been denied by a point-blank save by goalkeeper Okiemute Odah.

It was Wolves eighth draw on the road.
