Gylfi Sigurdsson certainly made his mark in his first start for Everton.
The Icelandic midfielder scored a staggering equaliser immediately after the restart, connecting perfectly on a half-volley while at full stretch to lob Hajduk Split goalkeeper Dante Stipica.

The goal put Everton 3-1 ahead on aggregate against the Croatian's and that is the way it would remain until the full 90 was up. The Toffees now advance to the group stage of the Europa League.
