Watching Klopp? Leicester boss Shakespeare: Coutinho halftime hook decided Cup win

Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare admits he was delighted seeing Philippe Coutinho substituted at halftime last night against Liverpool.

After their Carabao Cup win, Shakespeare admitted City had been lucky to still be on level terms at half-time and the decision to withdraw Coutinho had helped their cause.

“We led a charmed life in the first half," he said.

“We know that our goal was under threat. I was just delighted to get in at half-time and then even more delighted to see they took Coutinho off.

“That was one of the main contributions to us for the second half."
