Watford raise season ticket prices

Watford have announced season ticket prices will rise for next term.

Watford have announced season ticket price rises for most of the 14,500 season-ticket holders at Vicarage Road next season, despite the Hornets' on-field struggles in recent months, reports the Watford Observer.

Only West Ham and Sunderland have released their prices for next season so far, but Watford's lowest-priced offering in 2017/18 - at £403 - would rank ninth cheapest in the top-flight standings when compared with all Premier League clubs from this year.

With just five wins on home soil from 14 Premier League games this season, owner Gino Pozzo and his board have resisted the temptation to freeze prices for a second straight year - although around 3,000 fans will pay the same as they did in 2016/17.
