We were unlucky not to have beaten Hearts – Daniel Darkwah

Midfielder of title chasing Aduana Stars, Daniel Darkwah, said his side was unlucky not to beat Hearts in Accra in their Premier League week 18 fixture on Sunday.

Aduana were tipped to carry the day following the abysmal performances by the Phobians in this season’s home matches after recording only two victories in their last six home games.

In an interview with footballmadeinghana.com, Darkwah, expressed his satisfaction with the score line, saying his teammates would do their best to improve in subsequent matches.

‘’We thank God and the supporters who thronged to the stadium to support us at the Accra Sports Stadium. In fact, we were very determined that we were going to pick all three points but we couldn’t though we did our best,’’ he told footballmadeinghana.com

‘’Yeah, we tried our best and Yahaya Mohammed did all he could to score but that didn’t happen but I think we were unlucky, so we were content with the score line. We are happy that we picked a point,” he added.

‘’We still have the chance because the first team ( Wa All Stars) leads us by just two points, so if we win our home games and get some wins and draws in our away games, we can also climb to the summit of the table,’’ he concluded.
