Accra Great Olympics midfielder Emmanuel Amartey says the players will put in their best to avoid the unpleasant fate of relegation.

The wonder club gained promotion to the premier league just a season ago but look set for another drop with the team placed 15th on the league table with nine games to end the season.

Great Olympics ended a string of poor result with a 2-0 win over Champions Wa All Stars over the weekend but are still not out of danger.

However, Emmanuel Amartey, brother of Leicester City star Daniel Amartey is confident the club will avoid the drop at the end of the season.

“It hasn’t been the best of seasons, but we are not losing hope, we will do our possible best and try to stay in the League,” He told Ghana Sports Newspaper.

“It is not going to be easy but we will work towards that, we have in mind to win all our remaining matches and we must achieve that, that is the only way we can survive.” He added.

Coach Tom Strand’s side are away to Ebusua Dwarfs in match day 22 of the Ghana Premier League to be played in midweek.
