West Brom are closing on a deal for Sporting Lisbon captain Adrien Silva.
The Sun says Silva, 28, is high on Albion's central midfield wish list this summer after losing Darren Fletcher to Stoke City.
Tony Pulis wanted to sign Silva's Sporting teammate William Carvalho last year but saw a club-record £21 million offer rejected.
Albion upped their bid for Carvalho in January but it was turned down again.
Now Pulis is weighing up a move for the £23 million-rated Silva with Sporting placing a £30million price tag on Carvalho's head.
