West Ham winger Antonio withdrawn from England squad

Michail Antonio has been forced to withdraw from the England squad.

The West Ham United winger sustained a hamstring injury in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Leicester City and will play no part for Gareth Southgate in the friendly with Germany on Wednesday night or the World Cup qualifier with Lithuania next weekend.

A West Ham statement on Sunday night read: "Michail Antonio was withdrawn from the squad after being assessed by both the Hammers' and the England medical teams and will remain at Rush Green during the international break."

This was 26-year-old Antonio's third Three Lions call-up but he is still yet to be capped.

There will be no replacement in the squad for Antonio.
