Willian Reveals He Didn't Care About Snubbing Tottenham After Securing 'Dream' Move to Chelsea

Chelsea winger Willian has opened up about his last minute move to Chelsea and insists he didn't care about ditching Tottenham, who at the time, were favourites to sign the Brazilian.


Willian joined the Blues in the summer of 2013, but the move caused some controversy as London rivals Tottenham appeared to have all but agreeda deal, after the had player passed a medical at White Hart Lane.

As it was, a last minute offer from Stamford Bridge was too much to resist for Willian, who appeared to take a sly dig at Spurs when discussing his move fromAnzhi Makhachkalato Chelsea.


The 28-year-old told the club's YouTube channel, as quoted by theStar:"I don't know how I can explain that moment. But it was the best moment I think in my life when I signed with Chelsea because it was my dream to come here

"When I came I am very, very happy to play for Chelsea, to win titles here, so I am very, very happy.


"Yes, it was difficult, but I didn't sign. When at the last moment Chelsea call me I say I'm sorry but I go to Chelsea, that's my dream.


"I have to go there, I don't care. I go there."

Willian has proved to be a big success during his three yearsat Stamford Bridge and was named the club's player of the season last year.


Most recently, the Brazilian came off the bench in last Saturday's showdown with Manchester City at the Etihad. The winger made an instant impact by giving his side a 2-1 lead thanks to a well taken goal and Eden Hazard's last strike helped Chelseaseal a resounding 3-1 victory over their title rivals.
