Winful Cobbinah truncates Saudi contract for Ghana Premier League return

Ex-Accra Hearts of Oak winger Winful Cobbinah has terminated his contract with Saudi Arabian top-flight side Al Najran over unpaid salaries.

According to Cobbinah he is on the lookout for a new clun and is looking to re-join Hearts of Oak or move to Asante Kotoko or Liberty Professionals.

‘The truth is I have terminated my contract with Al Najran because they failed to pay me, before joining them they made a lot of promise to me but they couldn’t fulfill those promise. So I have no other option than to terminate my contract,’ Cobbinah told Pulse.com.gh.

‘I have reported them to FIFA, and they have been mandated by FIFA to pay me, so I’m still waiting for them to settle me.’

He continued: ‘I’m a free agent, but I’m yet to be contacted by a particular club. I’m in Ghana but I have three clubs that I have pencilled down. I want to return to Hearts of Oak, or play for Kotoko but my last option is to play for Liberty Professionals. So I’m ready to join either of them.’

Cobbinah joined the Saudi side three seasons ago from Hearts of Oak midway through a splendid season with the Phobians.
