Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Winful Cobinna is set to return to the club after failing his medicals at Danish side Viborg FF.
The skillful midfielder was close to joining the Denmark side after enjoying an exceptional campaign last season in the Ghana Premier League.
Cobinna, 26, was expected to sign a deal with Viborg for a fee around $75,000. However, with reports indicating he failed his medicals, the deal has been abrogated.
The former Al Najran midfielder returned to the Ghana Premier League a season ago, where he helped Accra Hearts of Oak to a third place finish as well as reaching the FA Cup final.
Nicknamed, the "livewire', Cobinna was part of the triumphant Black Stars B team that won the WAFU Cup of nations hosted in Ghana.
He earned call ups to the senior team proper, where he joined the Black Stars for the friendlies against Mexico and the United States.
The Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder is expected to arrive in the country in the coming days to join the Phobians at they continue with preparations ahead of the new season.
