Wonder Sports Starts Search For Talented Young Footballers

Wonder Sports and Fitness Centre Friday launched its wonder soccer talent hunt in Accra at the MJ Grand Hotel. Wonder sports and fitness centre, in partnership with the Netherland’s Football Talent International, would scout for young players between the ages of 16 and 22, who have the dream of playing outside the country to realize that dream.

A UEFA Licenced A holder Coach and a coach at football talent international, Rene Koster with Prince Toku and a host of international coaches will organise a "justify your inclusion" to select talented players in Kumasi for the northern zones and in Accra for the southern zone.

The CEO of wonder sports and fitness centre, Mr Kofi Adjei-Maafo, launching the programme said “we are here today to witness something great that will let some young Ghanaians realize their dreams of playing for international clubs come true,”

Mr Koster, who has had a fruitful coaching career with teams like AZ Alkmaar, Ajax Amsterdam and NEC Nijmegen, said out of the thousands of footballers to be engaged, 20 will make it to the finals of the competition and would be taken abroad for further trials and friendly games with some selected football academies.

“Ghana abounds in talent and we are looking for top players with technical, physical and mental ability to groom and manage for international clubs, he noted.

Registration for both regions have started and will attract registration fee of GH¢70.00 per player.

The Kumasi selection will be from June 13-24, 2016, at the Wesley Training College, Suame whilst the Accra hunt will be from June 2 -29 at the Ajax Park, Legon.
