Ghana’s 2018 FIFA world cup qualifier opponent Uganda are keeping tabs on the Black Stars ahead of the on-field battle after sending Serbian scouts to monitor Avram Grant’s men in Russia on Tuesday.

The Black Stars failed to convert numerous chances created in the international friendly game against the Golden Eagles of Russia and lost 1-0 to the host.

Head coach Avram Grant who was using the game to prepare his side for the world cup qualifiers which begins in October, had close tabs on his team after his immediate opponents in Uganda flew scouts from Serbia to closely watch the Black stars in action.

The Cranes of Uganda who have Serbian Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic as coach, managed to employ a strong scout from his native country to take notes on the Black Stars exercise with Russia.

Uganda have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1978 after beating Comoros 1-0 on Sunday and are seeking to culminate that feat with a historic success in the world cup qualifiers. Ghana will host Uganda on October 3, 2016 for the 2018 world cup qualifier.
