Yakubu Mohammed hands Kotoko first win over AshGold in Obuasi after seven years

Asante Kotoko recorded their first win in Obuasi against AshGold after a seven year drought.

 

Yakubu Mohammed's only goal of the game ensured the Porcupine Warriors secured their third win in the 2016/2017 season of the Ghana Premier League.

 

The striker connected his header into the net after receiving a cross from Emmanuel Gyamfi in the 64th minute.

 

Kotoko maintain their second spot on the table with 10 points, same points as Aduana Stars who lie top after 4 match days.

 

Ashanti Gold are still 8th on the League table with 8 points.

 

Kotoko will head into their next game against Elmina Sharks with a big boost as they will be looking forward to record their fourth win of the season.
