Ghana's Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzidze has urged the Black Starlets players to keep calm and focus on their final game against Mali on Sunday.

The national U17 male team will be hoping to end the country's 18-year wait for the Africa Junior Championship title when they take on Mali in the finals of this year's competition in Gabon.

The last time the team came close to winning this tournament was in 2005 when they lost the finals.

"There is no such thing as a failure this time round, we have great confidence in the technical team and the management and you as well," he said

"Please continue what you are doing, one goal at a time and try get as many as you can."
