Zinedine Zidane Delighted With Cristiano Ronaldo's Comeback in Real Madrid's Comfortable Win

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo's return to action in the comprehensive 5-2 win over Osasuna on Saturday,ESPN FCreports.

The Portugal international, 31, played 65 minutes in the Bernabeu sun and scored within six minutes of hisreturn to La Liga action against the newly-promoted Osasuna. Zidane, however, is wary of his star player playing too many minutes as he eases his way back into full fitness.

The victory means it is 15 La Liga wins on the bounce and three from three this season, but Real will now turn their attention to the Champions League, with Los Blancos playing host to Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday, which starts a run of seven games in just three weeks.

With the hectic schedule in mind, Zidane, while overjoyed with Ronaldo's return, wants the Portuguese to be fresh heading into the match against his former side.

"Like everyone I enjoy seeing [Ronaldo] on the pitch, I always want him with me," Zidane said.

"He played an hour today, we will see what happens on Wednesday. I have not negotiated anything with him about his playing time. It has been 60 days without competition- and now we have seven games in three weeks. So we must be aware of that."

He added on Real's schedule:Today I did that, after the international break we had to think about the many games awaiting us. We have a very deep squad with many important players.

"Wednesday is another game, we will choose what suits for each game. We want to continue our good run and put everything into every game to win it."
