The Asante Kotoko team that drew 1-1 against FC Nouadhibou on Sunday afternoon have returned to Ghana to begin preparation for the reverse fixture.

Yesterday, the Porcupine Warriors club was in action against the Mauritania champions in an away fixture for the first of a two-legged encounter at the preliminary stages of the this season’s CAF Champions League.

In the end, an equalizer from young striker Osman Ibrahim handed Asante Kotoko a vital draw to have the advantage in the second leg.

Today, the Asante Kotoko team that traveled for the first fixture have safely arrived in Ghana and expected to immediately start preparations for the crucial second meeting.

That game has been scheduled to be played next weekend and likely to be staged at the Accra Sports Stadium that has been adopted by the Kumasi-based club as their home grounds.
