Published on: 12 April 2021

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko leads the Ghana Premier League table as the competition’s leaders at the end of matchday 19.

The Porcupine Warriors club from the first round of the campaign struggled to stay consistent and as a result, had to change managers two times before the start of the second round.

Last Wednesday, the Reds trashed Bechem United 4-0 when they played for the first time at their new adopted home venue at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Following up that top performance with another good showing on Sunday afternoon, Asante Kotoko defeated Berekum Chelsea 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to pick three crucial points.

Courtesy of that victory, the Reds have climbed to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 34 points from 19 matches.

Great Olympics after losing to Legon Cities FC over the weekend are now in second while Karela United follows in third.

Giants Hearts of Oak are now fifth on the league table following the narrow loss to Ashanti Gold SC.
