Hearts of Oak have taken lead on the Ghana Premier League table following their hard-earned win against Techiman Eleven Wonders over the past weekend.
Prior to matchday 26 of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign, record champions Asante Kotoko led the table for weeks on the back of their impressive form in the division.
However, after dropping points in their match against WAFA SC on Saturday, the Porcupine Warriors have now been forced to let go of the top spot.
The Reds have been leapfrogged by eternal rivals Hearts of Oak. The Phobians last Friday, started off the matches on matchday 26 of the Ghana Premier League and defeated Eleven Wonders by a lone goal to cruise to an important victory.
Courtesy of results that went in their favour, the capital-based club have now climbed to the summit of the standings of the division although they are on the same points [46] as Asante Kotoko.
Besides the two most glamourous clubs, Great Olympics and Medeama SC make up the top four of the league table.
