20/21 Ghana Premier League: Diawisie Taylor scores 9th goal of the season as Karela Utd defeat Medeama 2-0

Strike Diawisie Taylor scored his 9th goal of the season on Sunday afternoon to power his Karela United side to defeat Medeama SC 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League.

The forward has since the start of the 2020/2021 season established himself as one of the most prolific attackers in the division.

Having shaken off an injury in the last couple of days, the attacker today earned a place in the Karela United team to face Medeama SC in the fierce derby.

On the matchday, both teams failed to score in the first half and resumed the second half to give their all.

Following a good team play after the hour mark, Karela United scored through deadly striker Diawisie Taylor to take the lead.

Later in the 75th minute, attacking midfielder Kwame Boateng took advance of a good chance to score to double the lead for the home team.

Going on to defend very well, Karela United has defeated Medeama SC to go top of the Ghana Premier League table.

With Diawisie Taylor’s goal today, the forward has taken his tally to 9, the highest by any player after matchday 11.
