Hearts of Oak has suffered its first defeat of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season after losing 1-0 to Inter Allies FC on Matchday 3 of the campaign on Sunday evening.

In the clash staged at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Phobians had a number of opportunities in the first half but failed to make good use of any of them.

Later after the break, Hearts of Oak continued to dominate play with Inter Allies showing glimpses of their quality especially in the midfield of the team.

Having grown steadily into the match, the Capelli Boys stunned the Rainbow Boys a minute after the hour mark when Richmond Lamptey scored with a fine effort.

Despite efforts by Hearts of Oak head coach Edward Odoom to bring in fresh legs in a bid to draw level, the team could not hit the back of the net.

In the end, the Premier League giants have suffered a narrow defeat to the Tema-based club
