Karela United has climbed to the top of the Ghana Premier League table after defeating Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The high-flying team from Anyinase today visited the Cape Coast Stadium to take on the Crabs on matchday 14 of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Following a bright start to the match, the visitors took the lead in the 23rd minute through a strike from midfielder Umar Bashiru.
With Ebusua Dwarfs unable to match the prowess of Karela United, the away team doubled their lead in the final minutes of the first half when danger man Diawisie Taylor found the back of the net.
Although Ebusua Dwarfs will return from the break to net a consolation goal, they eventually succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win sends Karela United to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table.
