20/21 Ghana Premier League: Liberty Professionals share spoils with Bechem United in Dansoman

Liberty Professionals and Bechem United shared the spoils on Monday afternoon on the back of a 1-1 draw when the two sides locked horns on Matchday 1 of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

The match was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday but was pushed forward to today following the delay of the Coronavirus test results of players and officials of Bechem United.

Today, a first half of plenty action saw Liberty Professionals in a deserved lead at the end of the half. It was all thanks to star man George Ansong’s equalizer on the 16th minute.

After recess, the encounter at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park got intensIfied with Bechem United chasing the game to restore parity.

After ten minutes into the second half, the efforts of the visiting team paid off as Steven Owusu converted a penalty kick in the 55th minute.

From there on, both Liberty Professionals and Bechem United pushed to find that decisive second goal that would earn them all 3 points.

Unfortunately, neither could score and have settled for a point at the end of the 90 minutes at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park.
