20/21 Ghana Premier League matchday 14: Struggling Inter Allies draw 2-2 with Liberty Professionals

Published on: 14 February 2021

Inter Allies FC on Sunday afternoon drew 2-2 with Liberty Professionals as their struggles in the Ghana Premier League continues.

The team prior to today’s fixture had failed to win any of their last five matches in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league season.

Hoping to end that poor run with a win today, Inter Allies FC, had the perfect start as they dominated the matchday opponent right from the start of the match.

In the 23rd minute, an equalizer from Nafiu Sulemana shot the away team into the lead as they held on to the advantage at the break.

Unfortunately, Inter Allies FC would be overpowered by Liberty Professionals in the second half.

Goals from Stanley Aniagyie and Abraham Wayo handed the home team a 2-1 lead before the 75th minute.

Headed towards another defeat, Inter Allies FC upped their game and pushed until they equalized through Hashmin Musah in added time to ensure they draw 2-2 at the end of the 90 minutes.

Today’s result leaves Inter Allies rooted at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with Liberty occupying the 14th spot.
