Striker Amed Toure netted a brace on his Medeama SC debut on Sunday afternoon to give the team a massive 2-1 win against Elmina Sharks in the Ghana Premier League.
Signed to provide a squad boost for the Tarkwa-based club last month, the former Asante Kotoko attacker today earned his first start for the team when they made the trip to the Paa Kwasi Nduom Stadium.
Putting on an outstanding performance, Amed Toure scored after just 3 minutes into the first half to give Medeama SC the lead.
Although Benjamin Boateng would equalize to draw level for Elmina Sharks in the 25th minute, Ahmed Toure scored again to complete his brace and win the game for Medeama SC in the second half.
As a result of today’s win, Medeama SC has now climbed to fourth on the Ghana Premier League table.
