Forward Joseph Esso netted a hat-trick for Dreams FC on Thursday afternoon to inspire the team to thrash Ashanti Gold SC 4-1 in the Ghana Premier League.

In a matchday 16 encounter played at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, the former Hearts of Oak striker opened the scoring for the home team in the 7th minute when he converted a penalty kick.

With that goal separating the two sides at the end of the first half, Joseph Esso will score again five minutes into the second half to double the lead for Dreams FC.

Going on to score his third in the 53rd minute to complete his hat-trick, Joseph Esso handed the hosts a huge 3-goal lead against Ashanti Gold SC.

Although David Abagna will net a consolation goal for the visitors in the 84th minute with a thunderbolt striker, an Agyenim Boateng equalizer from a direct free-kick ensured that Dreams FC won 4-1 at the end of the 90 minutes.
