20/21 Ghana Premier League matchday 20: Asante Kotoko impress in Accra to earn draw against Olympics

Published on: 16 April 2021

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko played some delightful football on Friday afternoon to draw 0-0 against Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.

The Dade Boys today hosted the side from Kumasi at the Accra Sports Stadium for a matchday 20 encounter of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

Knowing that a win would restore them to the summit of the league table, Great Olympics set up strong from the onset and determined not to lose the match.

In the first half that saw Asante Kotoko threaten to score, the visitors could not make key decisions in the final third and hence failed to find the back of the net.

Despite continuing to pile pressure on Great Olympics in the second half, the Porcupine Warriors still could not get a goal and hence have been forced to settle for a goalless draw at the end of the 90 minutes.

The result means that Asante Kotoko has failed to beat Great Olympics in the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

In that process, they have only picked one point with the Dade Boys earning four from a possible six.
